NME- ENERMY sounds similar to enermy which is subversive/rebellious.
The house style of this magazine is its straight in your face, not shy, non judgemental as it is not opinionating any of the articles. Also it is rebellious through the language, mise en scene and also the bold striking typography which sticks out to you.
Image also follows the style of rebellious as she is smoking however by the showing of the flesh connotes sex appeal, that although the magazine might be hardcore there is also sex appeal in it. The main focus is on the women which suggests that she is the main leader of the band, and the fact that the man is touching her belly makes it provocative, which also ties in with the straplines, 'twisted love.' Also the image is taken from an high angle shot, and looks like the singers are lying down and she is looking up, which again promotes sex appeal and comes across provocative. However this shot has not achieved its aim of making them look vulnerable as they are strong and in your face. Also she's got hae hand around the masthead which shows she is familiar with them and also makes her cool by doing that.
Again the use of expletives, ' F***ed up' and hardcore language suggests that the magazine is rebellious. Also it has an exclusive story, however have not used the word exclusive directly on the magazine as they know that the magazine will sell, as the exclusive article they do have will sell on its own. It was a famous band whose lead singer died as he commited suicide and he was a legend. So by nme talking to their manager will bring in huge amount of readers.
The magazine is conventional in its use of 2-3 colours. The use of red and black with the bold righting again makes it striking and hardcore. The typography also has rigid edges and connotes subversive.
